WTAPS will take part in a fall collaboration among BEAMS’ SSZ by Tadayuki Kato and stylist Akio Hasegawa. Two jackets, a cutsew, a pair of pants, and a hat. A capsule collection has been created embodying the styles and characteristics of the three parties.

The jacket is based on the WTAPS MODULAR, spec’d in a silhouette that is one size larger than WTAPS sizing, featuring large pockets placed on both sides that can hold A4 size documents, along with 14 other additional pockets. 2-way styling with removable sleeves that detach from the armhole allow it to be worn also as a vest. 170g fill to give it a voluminous feel, with A.H and SSZ logos placed on the left cuff of this high-density weather fabric jacket.

The coach jacket with snap buttons is based on the WCPO from the WTAPS shirt lineup. The sheen of the T/C weather fabric and the tone of navy presents a clean impression; this item also features pockets on both sides that are large-capacity pockets able to store A4 size documents. A.H and SSZ logos are embroidered overlapping the WTAPS format woven label on the front left hem.

SSZ is known for their quality of pants, and these double-pleated cargo trousers are based off of their pleated trousers, that have been modified into WTAPS’ JUNGLE STOCKs. Drawstrings inside the waistband make it possible to wear without a belt. Equipped with large-capacity pockets on both the left and right side that utilize the side seams, along with a WTAPS tab and SSZ notepad-style tab layered on the left side pocket with the A.H logo embroidered right next to it. Made of the same high-density weather fabric as the jacket.

Based on SSZ’s S/S POCKET TEE, this new style pocket tee incorporates WTAPS’ pocket details, available in two big silhouette sizes that follow SSZ’s fit and sizing. A.H and SSZ logos are embroidered overlapping the WTAPS format woven label on the front right hem.

The bucket hat is based off of WTAPS’ classic BUCKET, made of the same high-density weather fabric as the jacket and trousers. A WTAPS tab and an SSZ notepad-style tab are layered on the left side of the band that wraps around the crown, with the A.H logo embroidered right next to it. Spec’d with a WTAPS GPS woven label for the back.

Hasegawa’s visuals completely embody the appeal of each item from the hand-picked 5 styles; this collection will only be available at the WTAPS online store and select BEAMS stores.
