FEATURE 20 The Future is Unwritten
With no way out in sight, we are still trying to figure out how to carry out activities in this current situation and into the future.
The fact that the problems we are facing on a global scale have been globalized in the truest sense of the word, and that we are now confronting reality with a sense of ownership, rather than seeing it as a problem that is happening somewhere far away, may have been the catalyst that prompted us to look ahead to the future rather than the past. This led to thinking about the future more than ever before, in a time axis of past, present and future, under unprecedented circumstances.
In the past and present, various generations have existed, forming the present age. If our past activities are to be remembered in the future as part of the culture, we would be happy to quietly leave behind what ideas we had to continue pushing the identity of WTAPS during these turbulent times.
Up until now, since the 90’s, we had been thinking about what was cool. But today, in this age of future-oriented thinking, we feel like we have a vague idea of what it all means. No matter what kind of era we live in, we shouldn’t go against the flow of the times, nor should we ride the current, but rather firmly establish the pillars of our philosophy, and steer the ship by understanding where we came from and where we are going. This marks the start of the 2nd collection of 2021.
