Title: All things WTAPS./181st entry「Chairs」

There are various types of chairs at the studio.
The Herman Miller Aeron Chair is one of the types
used at each one's desk.
It is a multi-functional desk chair that is black with a dignified presence.

The other day a different type of the Aeron Chair arrived.
It is a shape which fits slightly taller desks better than the usual.
Just a chair, but I feel it is one of the very important tools for work.
Especially for desk work people since it is where you spend most of your day.

This new one fits good and it is suited for long desk work.
Things proceed smoothly due to the lessening of strain on the body.
Surrounded in wonderful things, and by using them to their fullest potential,
everyday I think of how to strive to become a better maker of things.

Going back to what I started talking about, this chair is said to be 94% recyclable.
Hats off to the environmental measures which seem unusual from its looks, comfort you
feel once you start using it, and the fabulousness of the design.

Title: All things WTAPS./176th entry「Time of change」

October is already at its half way point and the coming of autumn can be felt.
The sunlight is kinder and the morning and evening air is cold and chilly
but it feels good and is nice weather.

The other day, I was organizing my closet and pulled out my autumn/winter items.
When changing out clothes for the season, I stop and take in hand things I have
feelings for and things that bring back memories;
It takes a lot more time that I plan.
Since you layer, you have more choices and you can enjoy different looks.
Every morning it troubles me, but it is a fun time.

It is now also a season where sudden temperature changes may cause you to get
sick easily, but I would like to enjoy the change of season fully prepared.

Title: All things WTAPS./171st entry 「Throw away, sort, get what is needed」

The atelier's move is over and the usual daily routine has started.
Around my desk is still messy, and I am trying to catch up with the sorting.
Throwing away things deciding what is not needed, sorting what is here,
and getting what is needed.
That is the process of getting organized, but it seems simple but very difficult;
I am struggling. Fitting things into an appropriate storage,
a layout that is highly functional, and aesthetically pleasing; it is a tough balance.
I would like to get organized as soon as possible checking out around how it is done.

Work does not flow well in a cluttered space.

Title: All things WTAPS./167th entry 「A single grain」

Rice is a must have item for the meals of Japanese, and they are a group of small grains, but
I feel the single grain is important in how it contains the feelings of the one who made it.
It is a valuable thing which was created by taking a long time.

Something really small, something normal, thinking of such a daily thing
I re-think how there are important meanings in things often forgotten,
and how there are feelings put into things.
To create for someone, although the thing may be different, in this action there
is a sincerity towards the someone, and I think the same feeling is necessary
at the time when you receive it also.

For lunch at the atelier, delicious rice is cooked which was harvested from one of our staff's homeland. Truly appreciated.

Title: All things WTAPS./159th entry「Communication」

In what humans do there is the thing called "hear".
It is something so normal that it does not get focused on but to live on
lately I have really realized it is a very important thing.
Without concentrating nothing retains when listening to someone.
Even if ears are perked focused on listening only words retain as memory.
Have interest in who you talk to, want to know, this stance
is needed in conversation if you want what you heard to become part of you.

When I forget what I talked about, every single time, I feel embarrassed, feel miserable.
Also first without being able to precisely listen
there is no way you could convey something to another person.
It may seem easy, conveying as your words,
I feel this is a very important fundamental form of action.
