Title: All things WTAPS./143rd entry「The final ____ for this year」

At the atelier today is the last day of business for this Holiday.
From the clean up of last night's bonenkai, the end of year cleaning
started and each one's work is coming to a good point to end.
The sun is down and the air is of the end of the year.

The feeling which we Japanese have of
not brining what happened in this year into the new year
forms a strict division between the end of the year and the new year
creating double duty during this season of finishing and preparing.

Personally, I do not mind this sort of busy.
Actually I feel that I more or less like it.
The people's conversations and the city's look fills with the mood
and I feel a unique atmosphere in the many rituals
that have become customary.

Once work is finished, from this point each of us will end the year.
We will be off from tomorrow through New Year's day,
and WTAPS will start from it's New Year's Sale on January 2nd.
We will be sporting the same happi coat,
and we will be welcoming you genuinely.

Thank you for your support in the coming year.

Title: All things WTAPS./142nd entry「Winter preparation」

In September the Japan Meteorological Agency announced this winter
(Dec. through Feb.) will be warmer and 2 months later they re-released
something opposite saying winter will be a cold one.
A few days ago the term Christmas cold wave was used
even in the news and I feel this is a very cold winter.
Times like this, to support the warm jacket
hats with ear warmers (AVIATOR) or
fleece lined gloves (GLOBE/BLACK) get chosen.

A couple of weekends ago the designer spent the weekend out in a tent
and in the list of items he has prepared,
was a hat with ear warmers (LUMBER CAP)
and fleece lined gloves (GLOBE/BROWN).

For those that have not yet, do get as soon as you can.

Title: All things WTAPS./141st entry「Instant」

Actually, from a little while ago
our official Instagram started.
A short text with a single photo
just that, simple information
but by modifying the photo, I feel that it might be
possible to add a little more depth to both photo and words
so I have been snapping everyday thinking such things.

The daily is a repetition of set things
even more so if living stable
it may seem as just an increase in repeated things
inside all of that,
I hope
where I get a spark from is different
and trying with such a feeling;
so how is it?

Title: All things WTAPS./140th entry「Color」

The cold has started to feel more to the body, it is finally the season to wear heavy outers.
What I have been wearing on the daily is one of the melton jackets from this season
the LUMBER JACK.
The name originated from lumber jacks
and it is a field coat fit for working in the cold winter mountains.

A fine melton with a large original block check,
it is lined with quilt and the cold weather specs are improved
by double layering the front and back shoulders. Also the waist pockets
are easy to use side pockets improving function
and by using an Italian collar, the neck area is finished sharp.
Italian collars may not be something familiar and it may be a detail that many people
are reluctant of, but it is easy to raise the collar for many different
styles around the neck, a shape that is very useful for variations
so please try one on and confirm for yourself.

A field coat to be worn hard in the forests
evolved into everyday wear, this is a must for the Holiday season with many colors.

Title: All things WTAPS./139th entry「surviving here…」

There is always somewhere in my heart that is conscious
of living in Japan, and in Tokyo, after the disaster.
That time all kinds of things shook
and many things that were kept vague began to surface;
still to this day there are many loose ends.

There are a lot of children around me
and by being able to look directly at this future in tangible form
I cannot help but look at things that I did not look at before.
In the midst of how there are still people that have difficulty having hope,
I cannot be the only one that will not change.

Many things make me really wonder what the deal is
like how long do you plan to keep saying such a thing, or
stop getting in the way, and getting upset at large opponents;
flabbergasted many times by this irritating reality
the fact remains I am still surviving here.

That is why I cannot throw in the towel until there is nothing left for me to do.
Most likely there is so much that needs to get done.
That is why I want to end still holding that towel tight.
