Title: All things WTAPS./94th entry「To feel proud」

Attending interviews with the designer
and listening to his answers while next to him
I notice new discoveries
about things I thought were in a certain way
or something I interpreted differently
or notices the depth of the nuances.
So frequently I take notes for my memory.

The other day another interview just ended.
Looking at it on the whole, it was quite a long interview.
And that is why my memo has a huge word count.

By going over these notes again and trying to put them into memory, I feel the importance of how it is
to accumulate things and also I find a new discovery in how my priorities stand firm.

Title: All things WTAPS./93rd entry「192 pages of myself」

My notebook was about to finish
so I went and bought a new notebook.

Same notebook as usual.
When I start writing in it,
I always tell myself I am going to “write neatly this time”
but before I know it, work and private is all scribbled.

In such past notebooks that I can only decipher
I have many things written behind.

・Favorite words
・Size of furniture
・Ideas for proposals
・Things to buy lists, etc.

It is packed of fragments of my past life.
What timeframe it was.
What I was thinking.
The memory of when I wrote it comes back when I look over it.
That is why
it is better to have work and private all there not separated.

Because either way, I am who I am.

Title: All things WTAPS./92nd entry「Verification」

Before the production for the next season begins, we have a look over the previous season’s items.
Seeking the cause for any faulty parts
and going over all the things you notice after it became a product and through use.
This is a very important time to improve even further the quality for the next round.
Also this verification process is not only done for items, but also for improvements needed in the actual manufacturing process, and same goes for looking for improvements in communication.

Based on the results of all of this, we go onto the production for the next.
It would be great if you could look forward to the upgraded items coming out in the next season.

Title: All things WTAPS./91st entry「Encounters」

Things are on the move towards the new exhibition planned for spring.
Right now it is mainly in the planning stage
but when tackling something new that has not been done before
the preparation done during this period is a huge factor.
Most of the time meetings with people from new factories or manufacturers
take place at our atelier but
sometimes we have to honor to meet them at their place.
On the trip there, many thoughts go through my mind right up to
when I arrive, and then I convey my thoughts when we meet.
A new challenge starts off in this way.
Good encounters directly link to the WTAPS quality.

Title: All things WTAPS./90th entry「Flipside」

When purchasing WTAPS products, you receive the item in a brown envelope shaped bag at the store.
This bag re-used at the atelier in many ways.

It is used in many different ways such as when sending small things or paperwork out,
or even when sending large things out the glued ends are taken apart making a single flat sheet of wrapping paper and used to wrap things.
Not only as a wrapping material, but using it inside out and showing the graphics makes a good book cover and also gives uniformity when the books are lined up.

Since it is also the inside of the bag products go in,
it is something that does not get noticed much
but this inside graphic has changed also
compared to previous bags.
Just like the product, because it is the flipside does not mean we can be caught slipping.
