A large typhoon passed through and now Tokyo is suddenly in autumn mode.
It is about that time where people start to talk about “Autumn is for …”.
I feel that many of these sayings are to give reason to start something or to fulfill desires, but I guess it is a good thing if it gives you that needed push.

Perfect for the season, something called the BOOK PACK will be released.
It is not a backpack, but a book pack.
You can put whatever you want in it, but since it has such a name, putting books inside suits it well.
This bag is just right for “Autumn is for reading”
and it would be great if it helps you start something.

The 60/40 cloth used on the Parasmock
has cotton for the weft and nylon for the warp;
like the name 60/40 cotton implies, the ratio of cotton 60% and nylon 40%
creates a textile that is not inferior to modern day high tech fabric
due to the characteristics of the threads.
For example during humid weather like rain, the cotton threads absorb the moisture making the threads expand making it dense compressing the nylon threads to
decrease the penetration of water and wind.
Also by having nylon blended, it becomes lighter than 100% cotton
and by having cotton blended, the durability increases compared to 100% nylon
in terms of material wear and tear.
Furthermore, compared to modern day high tech material, you do not have to worry about coatings, etc. wearing off from use.
The soft feel different from the usual rain gear suits it well for everyday use.

The DOCTOR LS has marked its name in the last couple season’s line up.
A work style long shirt.
This can be considered a highly utilitarian item
that can make the coordinate flow
as a shirt jacket or shirt coat.

So, this DOCTOR LS is made of wool for this season
along with a large dusky check pattern
and the hem around the rear waist belt is actually an opening for a pocket;
even with such a gimmick, the construction looks quite simple
so personally I feel this is a very classical item.

For the image of the look I have is something from
American movies around the 80s through 90s.
For the inner, a wash modified and worn looking IAN
or layering the UNION LS over the standard SKIVVIES
sticking in a baseball cap or GASKET;
I want to enjoy this old school style as soon as I can
but the lingering hot weather has me itching.

Many WTAPS clothing have an expression on their face
attributed from the specs they are made from such as
material, modifications, stitch work, etc.

For example at the GIP-STORE, the fitting curtains and
façade are made from used US military tents that have been
taken apart to use the material so the original feel
fully shows.

Also, the below picture is of the standard pants BUDS
but a portion of the pocket is a combination of stitch work
and sewing to create a face with rich expression.

WTAPS, and its roots, 40％.
The first ever both brand only shop
the GIP-STORE will open tomorrow September 10th 2011.
Of course this space known as a store has been fully directed down to the details and this flagship
is what we consider is the latest "way of the shop".
We are completely satisfied with "the way".
But a shop is a living entity.
I feel that it gets raised by
the staff that work there and the customers that come visit
along with the times.

But,
for things to go that way, I think the basis has to be of how those that present "the way" have a greater feeling of love towards the shop.
In other words, the peak is not the shop's opening for the director.
But maybe how the shop is directed after opening is where it's at.
