When talking to someone it is only to be expected
to look at the person straight and listen well.
It is possible to understand the person by a slight gesture
they may show, or a word they may have inadvertently said.
It is impossible to know everything of the person, forever.
It is not possible to separate good people and bad people.
It changes depending on viewpoint
and no one is actually that simple.
In the end you build up the person in a way that works
for you in a good way, but I feel
the more you know the person, you convey yourself better.

After lunch, one of the textile closures was decided on.

Even just to decide on one you have to choose from many;
it may take only a few minutes, or depending on how things are going
it may be postponed until next time.

Today I wanted to add a picture of the process
but the decision was made without time to take a snap.

In our daily work
along with planning for the next exhibition
production for the products to hit the stores happen at the same time.

One of these things
is the process of minor “adjustments” of the
dimensions, details, etc. based on the exhibition samples.
Many times it can make a huge difference in the product
by adjusting in millimeters the feel of the material, thickness, etc.
There is a feeling of accomplishment when it all ends up just right.

Including things already decided on last year
another plan is on the move.

This is the new note pad
issued only to our staff
At the beginning of the New Year.

Making notes and files
is the very basic of our job
so depending on the use
various styles are used as “tools”.

What was issued this time, is called the “PRESS PAD”
small at 140 x 90
fitting the chest pocket of WTAPS work shirts
used by press
with yellow pages like a legal pad
characteristic with 1 red vertical line.

This helps out when making an index
for things written across.
On the cover there is a rivet like those used in denim
as a “crest” 
and on the 3rd page
there is a pocket to put stuff in
like clippings, pieces, leafs, and of course business cards.

Other than this, I use a same size blue Moleskin with no spine
and a large A4 size legal pad.
Using depending on situation like for to do’s
and jotting down stuff the easy to carry small size,
and for meetings needing a visual tool the A4 size.

We hope that this year will be a good one for all.

How is everyone doing
now that a new year has started?
The atelier which no one was at
for a few days
has become very chilly.
As if it is resting its body that was abused last year.

Blackflag will be open from the 2nd.
There will be some special items.
Look forward to it.
